Professor Catarina Xavier
Received a PhD in Radiopharmaceutical Chemistry in 2009, working as a post-doctoral researcher on the development of radiochemistry for nanobodies for PET, SPECT and Therapy. Supervised several MSc and PhD students and is currently supervising 2 PhD students. Author of 19 peer reviewed papers and 2 book chapters. Recipient of several internal and external research grants.

Professor Nick Devoogdt
Expert in nanobody technology and engineering tailored to molecular imaging. Co-supervised 4 completed PhD’s, 19 MSc theses and is currently supervising 5 PhD students. Authored 36 peer reviewed papers, 4 book chapters and is inventor on 9 patent applications. Recipient of several internal and external research grants and is co-founder of a spin-off company.

Professor Sophie Hernot
Post-doctoral fellow with broad expertise in the application of nanobodies for molecular imaging of cancer and cardiovascular diseases: Authored 20 peer-reviewed papers, 2 book chapters and is inventor on 1 patent application. Co-supervised 2 completed MSc thesis and is currently supervising 1 PhD and 3 MSc students. Holder of several internal and external research funding grants.

Professor Vicky Caveliers
Research Professor and Lead Radiopharmacist
At the Nuclear Medicine department of the University hospital since 2003. Supervised several master-, PhD- and junior post-doc researchers. In 2011 became a research Professor at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel. Author of 62 articles and participated in the European COST Actions BM0607 “Targeted Radionuclide Therapy” and Action TD1004 “Theranostics Imaging and Therapy” (still ongoing).
